Sebastian washes the dishes from breakfast. He brings the pot of freshly brewed ashtray coffee over to the sink and pours it all down the drain. He stares into the drain for a moment, wondering if the bitter brew could damage the ship’s plumbing system. Dusty runs into the room and slams the windows shut. She and Sebastian make eye contact briefly.
Dusty realizes that she is starting to see him a little differently now. She’s not sure what she is feeling yet—but she knows that she can trust him. Maybe. And maybe the two have a chance of surviving if they work together.
Sebastian is still thinking about her dorky laugh.
Dusty runs out of the kitchen without a word. Sebastian continues cleaning the dishes until suddenly the ground beneath him begins to rumble. The dishes in the sink clatter together as the water they’re submerged under becomes a sudsy tsunami.
The floor beneath Sebastian’s feet feels light as Tyrannis begins to lift off the ground. The space sways gently as the ship gains its aerial balance.
The walls thrum with power as the engine roars louder and louder.
Tyrannis has reawakened from its slumber.
